artSPACE durban is an art gallery with dedicated studio spaces located in a warehouse in a light industrial area of Durban, South Africa. Our second gallery, artSPACE berlin, opened in June 2007 and closed in 2010 due to illness. Our new initiative in Durban called the COLLECTIVE opened in May 2011.
“Phoneography 2” – a group
exhibition of smartphone camera images
pictures with a smartphone (or a cellphone that has a camera) has become so
popular, it even has its own name: iPhoneography, or smartphoneography for
those who do not own an Apple mobile phone. Users have been taking a lot of
cool pix on their phones and now would like others to see them besides on Instagram and other sites and have a
chance to sell them in a gallery environment.
