“Different Situations” paintings by Jabulani Cele
“Different Situations”
is about telling the stories of people. Cele is inspired by the situations that
people face on our daily basis, things that people go through to make a living
and survive. People must expect to see how people live their lives in this
twenty-first century from his point of view as an artist.
Jabulani Douglas Cele was
born in KwaMashu and grew up in Dube Village, Inanda.
He was
commissioned by eThekwini Municipality to paint rural football scenes that hang
proudly in the Presidential Suite of the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
